Certification readiness
What RuleFix checks for each certification and regulator, what it cannot check, and how to use its scans and reports as audit evidence — for SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, RBI, SEBI CSCRF and the DPDP Act.
Where RuleFix fits in an audit
Audits and certifications — SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS — and regulatory reviews under RBI, SEBI and the DPDP Act all test two things: that the right controls exist, and that they operated over time. RuleFix covers a specific slice of that: the technical controls that live in application code and configuration, such as keeping card numbers and secrets out of code, encrypting identifiers, verifying webhooks and using sound cryptography.
Every rule carries control mappings — the SOC 2 criteria, ISO 27001 Annex A controls, PCI DSS requirements, DPDP sections, RBI directions and SEBI CSCRF categories it provides evidence for. The guides below are generated from those mappings.
RuleFix is not an auditor
Most of every framework is organisational — policies, risk assessments, HR, vendors, physical security, incident response. A clean RuleFix scan is evidence for part of some controls, never a certificate or attestation.

Building an evidence trail
- 1
Select frameworks per project
Pick every framework in scope when you create or import a project, so its rules run and its findings are grouped in reports.
- 2
Scan every change
Connect your AI coding agent over MCP or import repositories. Auditors sample across a period, so continuous scanning matters more than a scan the week before fieldwork.
- 3
Fix, verify, or accept with a reason
Prefer fixes confirmed by a re-scan over marking issues fixed by hand — auditors trust evidence they can re-perform. When you accept a risk, mark the issue ignored or add a rulefix-ignore comment with the reason — documented risk acceptance is evidence too.
- 4
Export reports on a schedule
Export the evidence report monthly (PDF or JSON) into your evidence folder or GRC tool. Fingerprints let an auditor re-run a scan and match the results.
